TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Re-signed
The Philadelphia Union announced the re-signing of three members of their squad on Wednesday, with Fabinho, Fabian Herbers and Ilsinho set to return next season after either being out of contract or having an option declined at the close of 2017.
“Fabinho and Ilsinho provide excellent veteran quality, and Fabian is a young player with lots of potential,” said Union sporting director Earnie Stewart in a club release. “We did not want to lose any of them following last season, and we’re happy to reach agreements to have them return to Philadelphia.”
Fabinho has registered two goals and 15 assists in an attacking fullback role for Philly over the past four-plus seasons, with at least two assists every year from the Brazilian.
Herbers, a first-round SuperDraft pick in 2016, has chipped in four goals and nine assists in multiple roles over the past two years.
The skillful Ilsinho has notched eight goals and seven assists over 52 matches with the Union since earning a roster spot after a trial stint in the 2016 preseason.
