The Philadelphia Union, famed supporters group Sons of Ben and numerous sponsors teamed up over the international break to help host the Street Soccer USA National Cup at the iconic Philadelphia Art Museum steps.
The event is part of a three-tournament series organized by Street Soccer USA, a non-profit aimed at fighting poverty and empowering underserved communities through soccer.
Competitors from 13 cities dueled on street soccer courts, got lessons from the Sons of Ben in tifo painting, and hung out with Union players Ray Gaddis and Fafa Picault.
US women's national team alums Hope Solo and Heather Mitts were also on hand at the event, the second in as many years held beneath the gaze of the Rocky Balboa statue.
More tournaments in the series coming to New York's Times Square on July 15, and San Francisco's Union Square on Aug. 5-6
