TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Re-signed
Real Salt Lake have re-signed veteran midfielder Luke Mulholland, the club announced Thursday. He returns for his seventh season with RSL.
Mulholland, 31, has made 123 appearances with the club during his time in Salt Lake. He has 16 goals and 16 assists throughout his career and helped lead the Real Monarchs to a USL Championship title last season.
“Luke is an established member of our club and community and we are thrilled to have him back in an RSL jersey for the 2020 season," RSL GM Elliot Fall said in a club statement "He is a player who has dealt with significant adversity over the last couple years and has bounced back in a fantastic way. Without his contributions, the Real Monarchs would not have had the postseason success they did last year – that alone shows his level of professionalism and character. He is a role model for our young players both on the field and in the locker room”
Mulholland is the second veteran midfielder RSL were able to re-sign this winter, joining club legend Kyle Beckerman. RSL continue to make changes to their 2020 roster, recently adding the likes of MLS veteran Justin Meram and young Designated Player Jeizon Ramirez.
