Referee Allen Chapman made the highlight reel of the Group E match between the New York Red Bulls and Atlanta United, and it had nothing to do with one of his calls.
It happened late in the second half, when Chapman found himself at the center of a three-way collision between himself, RBNY's Alex Muyl and Atlanta's Ezequiel Barco. Give it a watch below.
Credit to Chapman in this instance, for the form while attempting to take the charge, as well as being a good sport, popping right up and having a laugh in the aftermath.
As FOX's Stu Holden noted on the broadcast, Barco was probably thankful to escape that without a card.
