The San Jose Earthquakes returned to the United States after a training camp in Cancun, Mexico as part of Preseason presented by Advocare, and in their first game action stateside lost 3-0 to Reno 1868 FC, their USL Championship affiliate, at Greater Nevada Field in Reno, Nev. on Saturday afternoon.
Reno raced out to their three-goal lead in the first half, with goals coming from Raul Mendiola, Seth Casiple and Danny Musovski. Musovski, who also had an assist in the game, was on San Jose's roster in 2018.
San Jose will head back home before taking on LAFC in Los Angeles next Saturday.
