Matt Miazga’s future with the New York Red Bulls is up in the air.
Yahoo Sports is reporting, citing multiple sources, that the RBNY Homegrown has turned down offers on a new contract with an eye toward a move out of MLS, likely to Europe.
The report cited one source that said the 20-year-old declined “significant pay-raise offers.”
A FourFourTwo report in November linked the US youth international standout, who recently received his first senior-team call-up, to Chelsea, Leicester City and Stoke City, while Yahoo reported that Miazga has “three Premier League teams trailing him.”

The Red Bulls exercised an option on Miazga for the 2016 season, meaning he would only be free to leave on a free transfer at the end of next year. Miazga signed as a Homegrown Player in 2013, cracking the starting lineup this year to notch career highs with 24 starts in 26 appearances, while recording a goal and assist in league play for the Supporters’ Shield champion Red Bulls.
