Manchester City reportedly have secured the future of winger Uriel Antuna, currently on loan at the LA Galaxy, with the reigning Premier League champions.
According to Fernando Schwartz of Fox Deportes, Antuna has signed a contract extension with City through 2022. He remains on loan with the Galaxy through the end of the season but his future beyond that point has not been determined.
Antuna, 22, has enjoyed a strong first season in MLS, tabbing six goals and four assists across 30 appearances (highlights below). The winger starred for Mexico at the Gold Cup as his country won the tournament, beating the United States 1-0 in the final.
The Galaxy sit in fourth place in the Western Conference heading into Decision Day presented by AT&T, where a win would confirm a first-round home playoff game and could see the club finish as high as second place.
