TRANSFER TRACKER: Report
Outbound transfer speculation with LAFC tends to surround their young South American stars, though interest reportedly extends beyond the likes of winger Diego Rossi and midfielder Eduard Atuesta.
Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte has linked LAFC midfielder Latif Blessing with CR Vasco da Gama, a Serie A club that’s reportedly looking to add a forward, midfielder and outside back to strengthen their squad.
Blessing can play all three, joining MLS in 2017 as a winger for Sporting Kansas City. Since being selected No. 2 overall in the 2017 Expansion Draft by LAFC, Blessing has predominantly played as a box-to-box midfielder, though injuries and overall squad need have forced the Ghanaian to play right back at times this season.
The report adds that Blessing could be loaned out and his wages are settled, though the 2019 Supporters’ Shield winners might not be inclined to proceed without the 23-year-old’s services.
During his three-plus MLS seasons, Blessing has scored 14 goals and dished out 17 assists in 103 matches. He’s one of the most versatile players in MLS, as highlighted in an MLSsoccer.com story earlier this month.
