Over the past three and a half years Aaron Long has made a spectacular, and unlikely, climb from twice-waived USL midfield prospect to starting center back for the New York Red Bulls to 2018 MLS Defender of the Year to US men's national team regular.
Could the English Premier League be the next milestone on his epic journey as a professional?
That's what retired player and veteran MLS television commentator Brian Dunseth reported during Sunday's broadcast of the Red Bulls' 2-1 comeback win over New York City FC in the latest edition of the Hudson River Derby, revealing that he's "been told there's been multiple offers, including a Premier League team offer, for Aaron Long."
Long has made 10 appearances (all starts) for the Red Bulls this season after playing in every match last year.
