TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor
According to a report from MLSsoccer.com insider Sam Stejskal, both Felipe and Tim Parker could be on their way out of the respective clubs.
Is it possible that both players can be swapped in a straight two-team trade?
The Washington Post’s Steve Goff reported earlier that the New York Red Bulls and Vancouver Whitecaps FC are indeed in trade talks, before adding that it’s just a rumor at this point that the Red Bulls’ Felipe and Vancouver’s Parker are the players involved.
Parker, a promising 24-year-old center back, is reportedly looking for a raise heading into his fourth MLS season. And considering he grew up on Long Island and played collegiately at St. John’s, a New York reunion would certainly make sense.
It is possible, even, that another New York team is trying to swoop in to nab him?
Stay tuned.
