TRANSFER TRACKER: Rumor
Sebastian Blanco has settled into life in Portland, but could the Timbers man be the subject of foreign transfer bids?
One report claims he is, as BeSoccer reported on Thursday that Argentine club Racing put in a transfer bid for Blanco, which the Timbers rejected.
Blanco, 30, is in his second season with the Timbers. He's made 48 appearances in MLS regular season play to date, scoring 13 goals and 12 assists. Racing, one of Argentina's "big five" clubs, finished seventh in the Argentina Superliga last season. Blanco has previously played in his home country for Lanus, where he got his start, and San Lorenzo, where he played prior to his move to MLS.
