Mexican heavyweights and 2019 Concacaf Champions League winners CF Monterrey are eyeing Michael Bradley as a potential summer transfer target, according to commentator Raoul “Pollo” Ortiz:
Ortiz, who recently left Televisa Deportes after nearly a decade as a television analyst there, claims that Los Rayados have identified the Toronto FC captain as a suitable reinforcement for the base of their midfield, and that “negotiations are on the right track” for a move.
Monterrey finished third in the regular-season standings of the recently-completed Liga MX Clausura before crashing out of the Liguilla, or playoffs, in a semifinals loss to crosstown rivals Tigres UANL last week.
