TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor
Superman was traded during the season; could Batman follow?
Should he become available, there'd be a large trade market for Miguel Ibarra including the Portland Timbers and San Jose Earthquakes, according to The Athletic's Jeff Rueter. He stresses that Minnesota United isn't actively shopping Ibarra.
Ibarra, 28, has enjoyed a breakout 2018 season. He has scored seven goals and added eight assists in 30 games, all higher than his first season in MLS in 2017.
The two teams rumored to be interested in his services are coaches familiar with Ibarra's prior career stops. He played for Minnesota in the NASL, where Portland boss used to be the head coach of the New York Cosmos, as well as for Leon in Liga MX, while new Quakes boss Matias Almeyda was managing Chivas Guadalajara.
