Victor Rodriguez and Chris Wondolowski exchanged braces as the San Jose Earthquakes and Seattle Sounders FC played to a 2-2 draw in both teams final game of 2019 MLS Preseason presented by Advocare at Avaya Stadium Saturday afternoon
The Sounders took the lead just past the half-hour mark when Jordan Morris raced to the endline before cutting the ball back toward the penalty spot where Rodriguez slammed home for the visitors.
Rodriguez netted his second 20 minutes later, slipping a deflected shot in off Quakes goalkeeper Daniel Vega to double the Sounders lead.
But Wondo responded with a pair of penalty kicks four minutes apart, the second after Kelvin Leerdam was sent off for his challenge on the Quakes captain in the box.
#MLSisBack for both teams in a week’s time, with the Sounders hosting debutants FC Cincinnati at CenturyLink Field March 2 (10 pm ET | FS1), while the Earthquakes meet the Montreal Impact at Avaya Stadium (10 pm ET | ESPN+) also on March 2.
