San Jose Earthquakes Homegrown goalkeeper Emmanuel Ochoa has had a busy start to March.
The 14-year-old received call-ups to both the United States U-15 and Mexico U-16 boys national team camps this month and opted to do both so he could experience each, MLSsoccer.com has learned. The dual-national, raised in Salinas, California, but of Mexican descent, feels a strong connection to both countries,
Ochoa had been involved previously with the US national team at the U-14 and U-15 levels, while his call-up with the Mexico U-16 team appears to be his first with El Tri.
The US U-15 camp ran from March 1-8 while he's now in Mexico with their squad's camp, which runs until March 12.
Ochoa signed his Homegrown contract with the Quakes in November, becoming the second-youngest player to sign a professional contract in Major League Soccer history.
