Tommy appeared in 25 games during two seasons in Moldova. He joined the Earthquakes for the start of preseason camp and most recently started in the club’s 2-1 win against FC Dallas on Feb. 23 in Portland. Tommy previously captained Mighty Blackpool in his native Sierra Leone, has appeared for Sierra Leone’s national team at the youth levels and was called to the senior team’s camp in August of 2012 ahead of a 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Tunisia.

Mitchell was a third-round selection (No. 53 overall) of the Earthquakes in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft. He scored nine goals and had four assists in 70 career appearances for the Beavers. The San Francisco native graduated from University High School in 2008 after winning three-consecutive Bay Counties League titles with the Red Devils.
