The Seattle Sounders' last right back was pretty good, but they're new one is becoming a key piece in his own right.
Tyrone Mears displayed that yet again last Friday night when his blast into the top left corner of D.C. United's net that turned out to be the eventual winner for the Sounders. The goal was Mears' first in MLS after the 32-year-old scored eight league goals in his many years in English leagues.
Mears garnered over 50 percent of the vote, coming in with 56.02 percent of the total vote. Orlando City SC star Kaká finished in a distant second at 18.35 percent and Ethan Finlay of Columbus Crew SC finished third with 14.79 percent of the vote.
