Obafemi Martins just loves scoring golazos, and fans love watching them.
Martins won his league-best fifth AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award by a landslide, earning almost 62 percent of the Week 29 vote for his stunning mid-range strike in the Seattle Sounders' 4-2 win over Chivas USA. The Nigerian forward scored the goal early in the first half, pulling the Sounders level after they fell behind to an Erick 'Cubo' Torres opener. The strike was the first of Martins' two tallies on the day.
The Sounders' Designated Player has made quite the habit of collecting the AT&T Goal of the Week in 2014. He most recently claimed the accolade in Week 24, but also won it in Weeks 7, 8 and 11.
It's the second major award of the last two days for the former Nigerian international, who was voted the Etihad Airways Player of the Month for September on Thursday.
