Finally, after months of anticipation, the day arrived, and Tim Howard made his return to MLS on the Fourth of July as the Colorado Rapids played the Portland Timbers.
The Colorado Rapids have been chronicling Howard's return from England's Premier League, and this week produced Episode 5 of 'Tim Howard: The Journey Home,' showing viewers an inside look at Howard's experience as he transitions back to MLS.
In this latest episode, Howard plays his first game for the Rapids, and earns a shutout in the 0-0 draw. He admits to being nervous, though he says the nerves went away once the game kicked off. "I just want to try and get in with those guys and earn their respect,'' he says.
