The US national team have yet to give up a goal from the run of play during Copa America Centenario.
Part of that has been due to the play of goalkeeper Brad Guzan. The Aston Villa man came into the tournament with many fans questioning whether he or Tim Howard should be starting, but there has been very little talk of a goalkeeping controversy throughout the past three weeks.
One of the three goals that the US has conceded was from the penalty spot. That came against Colombia when James Rodriguez was able to get it past Guzan to put his team up 2-0.
Guzan's ability to stop penalty kicks could come into play tonight against Argentina, as the game will go straight into a penalty kick shootout if it ends in a draw after 90 minutes. That could leave Jurgen Klinsmann with a decision.

According to data provided by Opta Sports, during his time with Aston Villa, Guzan has saved just two of 23 penalty kick attempts with a third going off target. That means that 87 percent of penalty kicks that he has faced have gone in.
That figure is higher than the 72 percent of penalty kicks that have been scored against Tim Howard in his time in the Premier League. Howard has saved seven of 36 penalty kicks, with three more going off target.

Klinsmann could decide to hold back his last sub and save it for a goalkeeper swap, if the US are tied with Argentina late. This would be reminiscent to when then Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal subbed on Tim Krul for Jasper Cillessen in the 2014 World Cup. Krul came on in the 120th minute of a quarterfinal match against Costa Rica and saved two penalties to lead the Netherlands over Los Ticos, as they won the shootout 4-3.
