In one of two simultaneous, split-squad games between Western Conference rivals, Krisztian Nemeth pounced for a brace to lead Sporting Kansas City to a 4-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo Wednesday in the 2019 MLS Preseason presented by Advocare (watch match replay above).
Felipe Gutierrez and Johnny Russell also scored before halftime to help SKC dig out of an early hole after Alberth Elis put the Dynamo ahead four minutes in.
Both teams finished with 10 men, with Houston's Romell Quioto sent off for a direct red card foul and Roger Espinonza picking up his second booking late.
In the teams' other spit-squad game, Kansas City drew Houston 1-1. The games were both teams' last before kicking off Concacaf Champions League round of 16 play next week.
