Raccinho, it appears, has finally met his match.
A squirrel briefly stole the spotlight during FC Cincinnati's 3-3 draw with Charlotte FC at TQL Stadium on Saturday night, scampering onto the field and eliciting cheers from the crowd as it made its way across the pitch.
The six-goal free-for-all played second fiddle to the squirrel, who joins a growing list of MLS's most unlikely pitch invaders.
Raccinho the racoon set the trend two years ago with a memorable cameo in Philadelphia, followed by a pair of baby pitch invaders – one last season at D.C. United's Audi Field and another just last month at San Jose's PayPal Park.
Who – or what – will be next?
