We saw some spectacular goals and surprising results in Week 33 as New York Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips jumped ahead of New York City FC's David Villa in the Golden Boot race and FC Dallas moved in front of the Colorado Rapids in the Supporters' Shield standings.
Here are a few stats to keep in mind as you look back on Week 33 and get ready for Decision Day.
BWP in the driver's seat
With his two goals against Columbus Crew SC on Sunday, Wright-Phillips now has 23 goals on the season. That is one more than Villa, who managed a goal of his own against D.C. United in NYCFC's loss.
Next week Wright-Phillips and the Red Bulls will visit the Philadelphia Union, against whom he has scored four goals in seven games during his MLS career. The Union have also not kept a clean sheet since August 27.
Giovinco's return
Sebastian Giovinco finally returned to Toronto FC's lineup on Sunday in their 2-2 draw at Montreal, making his first appearance since August 27. He did not get on the scoresheet, but he did grab an assist on Tosaint Ricketts' equalizer in the 86th minute.
The Atomic Ant took nine shots, with seven coming from outside the box. The seven shots from outside the box were the fifth most in a game this season. His 110 shots from outside the box this season are by far the most in 2016, as Colorado's Shkelzen Gashi has the second most with 61.
Dallas potentially loses its engine
It's no secret that Mauro Diaz is the engine that makes FC Dallas go. Dallas got a huge comeback win against the Seattle Sounders on Sunday but they potentially lost their star midfielder, who reportedly went to the hospital after suffering an ankle injury late in the game.
In the 24 games Diaz has started this year, Dallas have averaged 2.0 points per game. In the nine games he did not start, they have averaged just 1.2 points per game. FCD may well be able to get the draws they need to clinch their CCL group and the Supporters' Shield this week, but the two injuries will be a major concern for the team heading into the playoffs.
