If you haven't been paying attention to Chicago Fire FC in 2020, you may want to start after a tremendous midweek showing that led to five club members featured on the Week 13 edition of the Team of the Week presented by Audi.
The 4-0 drubbing they handed to the Houston Dynamo at Soldier Field helped land Team of the Week spots for two defenders (Francisco Calvo and Jonathan Bornstein), two midfielders (Alvaro Medran and Fabian Herbers on the bench) and head coach Raphael Wicky. It was a sparkling showing and one that had been coming for a few games based on recent performances. The Fire started Week 13 at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, but no one is thinking of them as a last-place club any more.
Other notable names on this week's Team of the Week include the game-breakers from Shield leaders Columbus Crew SC (Lucas Zelarayan, Pedro Santos), one of the catalysts of the Colorado Rapids' sudden rise (Cole Bassett) and the unstoppable Bradley Wright-Phillips, who is just three goals away from yet another MLS season with double-digit goals.
