The big representative on the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi was the Houston Dynamo, which fielded two players on the XI plus head coach Wilmer Cabrera, following a comprehensive 3-1 win over New York City FC.

This week's spotlight player is Vancouver Whitecaps FC winger Cristian Techera, who scored his first career hat trick in a 3-3 draw against the New England Revolution. Techera earned the Audi Player Index Performance of the Week, racking up 1,636 points, best in MLS.
