What a week for the San Jose Earthquakes.
On Wednesday, the Quakes walked into Sporting Park and dominated one of the top teams in MLS, beating Sporting Kansas City 5-0. They followed that up by beating Eastern Conference-leading D.C. United at RFK Stadium behind goals from Chris Wondolowski and Shea Salinas.
The two wins pulled them level with the Seattle Sounders for the sixth playoff spot in the West and also helped Salinas, Anibal Godoy and Quincy Amarikwa make the cut.

GK: Clint Irwin (Colorado Rapids) – With the Rapids were under pressure all night, Irwin had to come up big on multiple occassions to preserve the clean sheet.
D: Demar Phillips (Real Salt Lake) – Had his best game in MLS, helping to shut down a Obafemi Martins-led attack. Real Salt Lake got a huge victory at home over the Sounders.
D: Maynor Figueroa (Colorado Rapids) – Helped Colorado get their first win in a month, making a team-high 8 tackles and intercepting 6 passes.
D: Robbie Rogers (LA Galaxy) – Pushed up the field to great effect, producing many dangerous chances for himself and his teammates in the Galaxy's 5-1 win.
M: Sebastian Lletget (LA Galaxy) – Forget all the big-money talent for a moment, because Lletget might have been better than all of them.
M: Anibal Godoy (San Jose Earthquakes) – Has come into the Quakes midfield and been an absolute beast, dominating games against Sporting Kansas City and D.C. United.
M: Michael Bradley (Toronto FC) – Dominated the midfield and showed precision in the final third, collecting three total assists in TFC's 5-0 romp over Orlando City.
M: Shea Salinas (San Jose Earthquakes) – Collected 3 assists in two games, causing fits for opposing right backs in each.
F: Robbie Keane (LA Galaxy) – Two goals and two assists. Keane has now firmly placed himself in the MVP race.
F: Will Bruin (Houston Dynamo) – The Dynamo striker continues to get the job done for his team, notching a goal and an assist in a road draw against Portland.
F: Quincy Amarikwa (San Jose Earthquakes) – Looking at the stat sheet, it's surprising to see that Amarikwa didn't have multiple goals this week – that's how influential he was over the two games.
Coach: Dominic Kinnear (San Jose Earthquakes) – Beating two Supporters' Shield contenders on the road is quite a feat for a team that looked dead in the water two weeks ago.
