It was a light week of goals because of the FIFA international window, but Tommy McNamara’s goal earned a majority of votes to nab the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week distinction for Week 4.
Much of the work on McNamara’s goal had been done by David Villa, who smashed a volley off the underside of the crossbar, but McNamara was there to clear it up, heading the deflected ball into the net.
McNamara edged out New England’s Chris Tierney and a pair of goals from FC Dallas winger Michael Barrios.
