Toronto FC captain Michael Bradley scores the first goal of the 2019 season

The first goal of the 2019 MLS season was authored by the unlikeliest of players. 


Toronto FC captain Michael Bradley, who had a grand total of 9 regular season goals in 166 career MLS appearances entering the season, hit the back of the net in first-half stoppage time at Talen Energy Stadium. 


It was a clinical build-up by Toronto FC with the 31-year-old Bradley starting the play. Three passes later, he was int he middle of the penalty box to send home a cross by Auro Jr.


But then Bradley doubled his fun with another goal in the 62nd minute on a ghosting run in the box. Bradley had never scored multiple goals in an MLS match.
