Orlando City’s rumored interest in AC Milan’s Antonio Nocerino appears to be heating up, with Italian television show La Domenica Sportiva reporting on Sunday that the 30-year-old Italian has chosen to sign with the Lions.
AC Milan vice president and CEO Alberto Galliani told reporters last week that he expected an MLS club to make an offer for Nocerino, who has just three appearances in all competition for Milan this season. He was first linked to Orlando early last month.
Nocerino has been with Milan since 2011, but spent most of the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons on loan to West Ham, Torino and Parma. He played with Juventus and Palermo earlier in his career, and was briefly AC Milan teammates with Orlando City captain Kaká in 2013. He has 15 career caps for the Italian national team.
