European clubs have reportedly started taking a real look at Cyle Larin, with an Italian outlet reporting on Tuesday that Serie A side Lazio and Norwegian club Molde are both interested in the Orlando City striker.
CalcioMercato.com reported earlier this week that Molde was in attendance for Orlando’s 3-2 loss at the Red Bulls on Sunday, which saw Larin score the opening goal. Lazio is also reportedly interested in Larin. Calcio Mercato reported that Larin’s transfer fee would be $9 million.
The No. 1 pick in the 2015 SuperDraft, Larin set the MLS rookie record with 17 regular-season goals last year. The 21-year-old Canadian international has gotten his 2016 season off to a strong start, scoring four goals in his first six games.
Larin and Orlando will return to action on Saturday, when they’ll look to break their three-game winless streak at the New England Revolution (7:30pm ET, MLS LIVE).
