New York City FC dropped its new 2019 home jersey Tuesday morning, drawing inspiration from the Big Apple.
The primary blue kit, the club’s third home uniform, includes a pigeon mosaic on the jock tag, honoring the unofficial bird of the city, a vertical stripe in the tricolor colors of the New York City flag, and the flag featured on the back neck.
“I like that our Club decided to use fans in the video," said NYCFC captain Alex Ring. "I am proud to lead the team for the first time as captain and wear our new home jersey. Every time I put it on I will think of the City and fans we are proud to represent.”
The club also released a video announcing the new home jersey which was filmed on-location throughout the boroughs, showcasing the eclectic spirit of the city. The jersey is available on sale now on MLSstore.com.
