Tyler Adams has suffered another injury setback, which will sideline him for at least two matches, RB Leipzig announced.
The US men’s national team standout “pulled his calf,” according to Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann, which means Adams will be out for an upcoming Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen on Feb. 15 and the UEFA Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Feb. 19.
The 20-year-old former New York Red Bulls Homegrown player has been limited to five league appearances, all coming after missing the first four months of the season with a groin injury.
Adams last played for the US men's national team in March 2019 against Ecuador. Gregg Berhalter's USMNT returns to action next month when the US will face the Netherlands (March 26) and Wales (Mar. 30) on the road.
