2014 AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 22
If you're a lover of counterattack goals, Week 22 was for you.
A number of clubs scored beautiful goals in transition, taking advantage of their speed or numbers in the attack to punish the opposition. Several of those tallies made it onto this week's shortlist for the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week, including the Vancouver Whitecaps' Darren Mattocks, Gilberto of Toronto FC and San Jose Earthquakes duo Chris Wondolowski and Matías Pérez García.
Week 22 was not all about counterattack goals, though. Diego Valeri scored a beauty from distance for the Portland Timbers, capitalizing on the amount of space he was given and unleashing a well-placed shot into the back of the net.
Which goal was the week's best? Make your pick by casting a ballot for your favorite goal before voting ends! The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and will be announced on Friday.
