Orlando City striker Daryl Dike is making a mark during his loan spell at Barnsley in the Championship, scoring his first goal for the team in Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Stoke City.
The goal came after a half-cleared Barnsley corner, with Conor Chaplin making a pass to Dike, who was making a run into the box. From there, the forward made his way to the right side of the area and scored from an angle. The strike came in the 90th minute, sealing the victory for Barnsley after they opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
The result puts Barnsley in eighth place in the Championship, one point behind sixth-place Cardiff City as the team remains fully in contention for a spot in the promotion playoffs.
Dike joined Barnsley on loan from Orlando at the beginning of the month, and has played five games (two starts) so far. He will be with the team until the end of the 2020-21 season.
