On Thursday afternoon, the next era for soccer in Los Angeles was officially unveiled as Major League Soccer announced a new Los Angeles club and ownership group at a press event held in Hollywood.
MLS Commissioner Don Garber was joined by entrepreneur and new managing partner Henry Nguyen, sports and entertainment leader and the club's executive chairman Peter Guber, and sports veteran Tom Penn who lead a prominent ownership group featuring several partners. The club is set to debut in MLS in 2017.
