The LA Galaxy are making a play to get into the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs. With two consecutive 3-0 wins, their chances of a return to the postseason are growing.
If they do make it, which team does Zlatan Ibrahimovic want to face? No surprise: It's LA's "El Trafico" opponent LAFC.
"If we make it to the playoffs, I bet you nobody wants to play us. And the first game I want is LAFC, but not here [at StubHub Center], I want it in their stadium. And there I want to do it, and there we will have fun," he told reporters on Wednesday.
For the record, Ibrahimovic has three goals — including his unforgettable debut tally in MLS — and an assist in three games against LAFC to date, with the Galaxy going 1-0-2 in the regular season series against their crosstown rivals.
LA's next game in their quest for the postseason is on Saturday, when they visit Sporting KC (8:30 pm ET | TV & streaming info).
