No, the other one.
Will Pulisic, the cousin of US men’s national team and Chelsea star Christian Pulisic, is going on trial with MLS expansion side Austin FC, goalkeeper coach Preston Burpo told Chris Bils of The Striker Texas.
The 22-year-old was eligible for the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, but wasn’t among the six goalkeepers who were selected across three rounds back in mid-January. Pulisic previously attended Duke University, where he started 66 games across three-plus seasons and was a two-time All-ACC selection.
Before playing for Duke, Pulisic featured for Borussia Dortmund’s U-19 team and was a US youth national team mainstay. Most notably, Pulisic was the US starting goalkeeper at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Heading into their inaugural MLS season, Austin FC already have three goalkeepers in Andrew Tarbell, Brad Stuver and Brady Scott. Tarbell and Stuver both have at least five years of MLS experience, while Scott is a US youth international who spent last year with Nashville SC.
