With an inordinate amount of players on the injured list, Sporting Kansas City's matchday squad against Atlanta United (9 pm ET | FS1 in US, MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada) is a little light.
Light by two players, to be exact.
SKC were able to name only five players to their bench rather than the maximum seven due to all the injuries piling up and Gianluca Busio on national team duty with the US U-17 squad.
None of the players on the bench are attackers, either, with a goalkeeper, center back, fullback and two central midfielders.
Atlanta United aren't without their own consternation, of course. Injuries have completely thinned Frank de Boer's left back depth, forcing captain Michael Parkhurst to start on the left side of defense.
