Zlatan Ibrahimovic is doubling down.
The new LA Galaxy captain recently promised to break every MLS record this year. He did it again on national TV.
This time he specifically mentioned having his sights on the single-season goal record that Josef Martinez set in 2018. The Venezuelan international banged in 31 regular season goals during a magical MVP and MLS Cup-winning season.
Ibrahimovic will look to begin his goal record quest in Week 1 of the 2019 MLS season on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park against the Chicago Fire (8 pm ET on FS1 and FOX Deportes in USA; MLS LIVE on DAZN in Canada).
