FC Cincinnati acquired midfielder Junior Moreno on February 25, 2022 in a trade with D.C. United. In exchange for $250,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money (GAM), with a possible additional $175,000 in performance-based incentives to D.C. He was signed to a contract through 2022, and option for 2023 was exercised on November 15, 2022.

United, Moreno has made 97 regular season appearances including 91 starts where he has scored one goal and distributed nine assists ⊠he started in each of the Black-and-Redâs two MLS Cup Playoff appearances in 2018 and 2019 ⊠In 2021, Moreno ranked first on the team in tackles (40), and second on the team in games played (28), games started (25) and minutes played (2,148) ⊠completed the highest percentage of passes (83.7%) of any D.C. OUTSIDE MLS: In 2012, Moreno made his professional debut for Asociación Civil Deportivo Lara before moving to Zulia FC in 2015 where he scored three goals and recorded three assists in 64 appearances in the top tier of Venezuelan soccer ⊠Moreno helped lead Zulia FC to their first Copa Venezuela victory in club history in 2016 by beating Estudiantes de Caracas 2-0 on aggregate over two legs ⊠D.C. acquired Moreno from Zulia FC on permanent transfer on Jan. 2, 2018.
