CAREER HIGHLIGHTS (CHICAGO FIRE):

  • Acosta made his debut with the Fire against the Philadelphia Union on Feb. 24, coming in as a substitute.
  • With his goal in the 90+9’ on March 16, Acosta scored the latest game-winning goal in Chicago Fire history, beating the previous record held by Cuauhtémoc Blanco (90+6’ vs. Chivas USA in 2006).
  • Following the win vs. Montreal, Acosta was awarded Team of the Matchday honors for Matchday 5 following his performance against the French-Canadian side.
  • Wore the captain’s armband for the first time in his Fire career on May 25 vs. D.C. United. Scored the equalizer in that contest in the 1-1 draw.
