The Ciudad Juarez native was the seventh Galaxy player to sign a Homegrown contract, and made three MLS appearances in his first two years in the league before collecting a career-high six appearances for the Galaxy first team in 2016. Mendiola, a skillful attacking midfielder, will look to leverage his extensive experience with Galaxy II in the USL to make a bigger mark on the first team in years to come.
