PROFESSIONAL

2020: Tessmann made his MLS debut at home vs. Philadelphia Union which he recoded an assist on February 29. Played 19 games (started 9) and tallied up a total of 1001 for FC Dallas in the year. Made his MLS Playoffs debut as well, converting from the penalty spot to defeat Portland Timbers in the first round of playoffs on November 22.

2019: The Alabama native made his professional debut on April 27, 2019 with North Texas Soccer Club in a 1-0 win against Orlando City B. He appeared in 16 matches for North Texas SC, including the USL League One final against Greenville Triumph SC on Oct. 19. Tessmann scored his first professional goal with North Texas SC on May 11 in a 4-1 win. He appeared in six preseason matches for FC Dallas in 2020.

NATIONAL TEAM

Tessmann earned a call-up into the United States U-20 Men’s National Team in September 2019 and is eligible to compete for a roster spot on the U.S. 2021 team for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

FC DALLAS ACADEMY

Tessmann, 18, joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2016 and has scored 25 goals in 67 United States Soccer Development Academy appearances, including 55 starts. He won the U-18/U19 Golden Ball following the 2018-2019 season after helping lead the FC Dallas to the U-18/U19 Academy Championship. Tessmann was part of the FC Dallas U-15 Academy team that won the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup in 2017, becoming the first Dallas Academy side to win a Dallas Cup title. On Dec. 18, 2019, Tessmann committed to playing soccer and football at Clemson Uni-versity after being recruited by Clemson football coach William Christopher “Dabo” Swinney and assistant football coach Danny Pearman.
