A tough, cerebral defender capable of playing both fullback and center back, Loyd was a mainstay for FCD since his rookie year, appearing in 24 league games or more every season, but was limited to just 12 appearances in 2016 after suffering a concussion. He's appeared in 180 MLS games.

INTERNATIONAL: Following Dallas’ run to MLS Cup in 2010, Loyd was among several FCD standouts called into the US national team's 2011 January camp. He earned his first cap by starting and playing 73 minutes against Chile on Jan. 22.
