Chris Wondolowski nets at least 10 goals for 10th straight season

How did Chris Wondolowski become the MLS all-time scoring leader?

Well, there are a lot of reasons, but one of them has been remarkable consistency over the years. The San Jose Earthquakes striker scored in Saturday's clash against Sporting KC at Children's Mercy Park, reaching double-digits in league goals for this season. It's Wondolowski's 10th consecutive season he's scored at least 10 goals.

That extends a record Wondo held for career seasons with at least 10 goals, with Landon Donovan second all-time with eight seasons of 10 goals. For consecutive seasons of 10-plus goals, Wondolowski's mark far surpasses the quartet in second place -- Kei Kamara, Juan Pablo Angel, Robbie Keane and Carlos Ruiz -- who each posted five consecutive seasons with at least 10 tallies. Perhaps even more than the all-time goals record (now at 154 and counting), this double-double goals streak Wondolowski has amassed could be the standard for a long time to come in MLS.
