Orlando City's Joe Bendik shut down a penalty kick this week and, in the process, locked down the majority vote to win MLS Save of the Week for Week 5.
The Portland Timbers earned a penalty kick in the 43rd minute, but when Fanendo Adi stepped up to take it, his attempts at misdirection didn't fool Bendik. The 'keeper dived the correct way, pushing Adi's shot wide and keep momentum on Orlando's side en route to a dominating 4-1 win.
Bendik beat out close-range stops from both Vancouver's David Ousted and Dallas' Chris Seitz, plus a jumping parry from Colorado's Zac MacMath.
