David Ousted had a pretty good month of June, and it looks like he might kick off July with yet another honor.
The Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper won the Week 16 MLS Save of the Week gong, was nominated for the Etihad Player of the Month prize and led his team to their third straight win on Saturday – earning more rave reviews in the process. With one day left to vote, he's leading the Week 17 MLS Save of the Week race by nearly nine percentage points.
With 32.67 percent of ballots cast as of Thursday morning, Ousted is a length or so ahead of Real Salt Lake veteran Nick Rimando, who sits at 23.96 percent.
Close behind in third place is Luis Robles of the New York Red Bulls at 21.81 percent, followed by Seattle keeper Stefan Frei (17.46 percent) and Chicago Fire man Sean Johnson (4.1 percent).
