It was far from a great week for Real Salt Lake, but at least they can take home a consolation prize.
Devon Sandoval's amazing curler over outstretched Impact goalkeeper Evan Bush in RSL's 4-1 loss at Montreal last weekend has taken home AT&T Goal of the Week honors for Week 11. It's the first Goal of the Week win of Sandoval's career.
Sandoval's goal easily outpaced the field, garnering over 38 percent of the vote. Eric Avila's header after a great passing sequence from Orlando City SC was a distant second, taking home 22 percent of the vote.
This is the second time an RSL player has won Goal of the Week in 2015; midfielder Javier Morales won the award back in Week 5.
