Another week, another accolade for Seattle Sounders ‘keeper Stefan Frei.
The league leader in shutouts picked up his third Save of the Week honor of the season on Friday, with his stellar stop on Kyle Bekker in the Sounders’ 3-0 win over FC Dallas smashing the rest of the field.
Frei grabbed 58.36 percent of the vote, nearly 40 percentage points more than second-place LA ‘keeper Jaime Penedo. D.C.’s Bill Hamid finished third for his penalty-kick stop against Orlando, while New England’s Bobby Shuttleworth and Chicago’s Jon Busch brought up the rear.
