It set the Vancouver Whitecaps on their way to a valuable comeback road win over the Montreal Impact, their first away victory of the year, and now it's claimed AT&T Goal of the Week honors, too.
Andrew Jacobson's delightful full volley at Stade Saputo has cruised to a Week 9 GotW win, garnering 44 percent of the vote to finish comfortably ahead of the blistering strike by Columbus Screw SC's Federico Higuain, which finished in second place with 29 percent.
Further back in the race, efforts from Benny Feilhaber, Maxi Urruti and Jack Harrison rounded out the voting in that order.
The winning goal is Jacobson's first tally of the year. He and his 'Caps teammates return to action on Friday night with a visit to the Colorado Rapids (10 pm ET | TSN1/TSN3 in Canada, MLS LIVE in US).
